The Current and Power Adapter extends the capabilities of Analog Discovery devices with external circuitry to enable current measurement. It allows users to visualize current, voltage, and power in DC and AC circuits. When connected to the Analog Discovery 3 through the 2×15 MTE connector and placed between the source and load, Digilent’s WaveForms software can be used to visualize current, voltage, and power in DC and AC circuits.
A reference WaveForms workspace with premade calculations to determine a variety of measurements including average current, reactive power, the phase shift of current relative to voltage, and more is freely available to provide users with a set of baseline calculations that can be determined with the Current and Power Adapter.
